The 'nitoTV' tweak installer for tvOS has been released

We've been waiting for some tools for Apple TV to be released, and it looks like it was worth the wait. Kevin Bradley, also known as nitoTV, has just released the first version of his 'nitoTV' tool for tvOS.

nitoTV is a file manager that can install and uninstall tweaks and apps on your Apple TV 4 or 4K, just like Cydia's app for iOS. Jailbreak tools for Apple TV have never been popular due to the lack of a file manager, Cydia Substrate and repositories with special tweaks. Perhaps nitoTV will change that.

The tool will work with tvOS 9.x – 10.1 and tvOS 10.2.2 versions. NitoTV also requires a jailbreak, which can be installed using Pangu for tvOS 9, LiberTV for tvOS 10.x, or greeng0blin for tvOS 10.2.2. Jailbreak support for tvOS 11 coming soon.

The tool can now be installed on Mac and it should detect the jailbreak before downloading it. If you have tvOS 10.2.2, download and install the nitoTV tool from the link at the end of the article, and it will automatically install the greeng0blin jailbreak.

After testing ninoTV with greeng0blin jailbreak for tvOS 10.2.2, we can say that the tool is very stable. We will write more about it in the future. It's great that Apple TV are finally starting to release tools that allow them to customize the system. We hope that the new tool will inspire developers to create tweaks.
