Update iOS 11.1 is still in testing, but Apple has already released the first beta versions iOS 11.2, tvOS 11.2 and watchOS 4.2 to registered developers and program members on beta testing.
What's new in iOS 11.2?
The update takes about 2GB of memory (depending on your device type), and you can download iOS 11.2 beta 1 (build number 15C5092b) from iPhone, iPad or iPod touch if you have a suitable profile (which can be downloaded from the Dev Center website).
The postscript to the update does not say about any new features, except for the extended interface of the photo editor.
However, we managed to find a few more changes.
For starters, in iOS 11.2 the Calculator application bug was fixed.
Several emojis have changed slightly, and new wallpapers for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X are now available on other models. Fixed logo bug at startup, and changed the AirPlay ing icon in the Control Center.
In addition, iOS 11.2 added support for the Siri Kit for HomePod, which will allow owners of HomePod to easily access applications from Siri Kit: Messages, Lists and Notes.
Promised features like Apple Pay Cash or Messages in iCloud never appeared in iOS 11.2 beta 1.
What's new watchOS 4.2?
The new beta version of WatchOS (build number 15S5085b) can be downloaded with a suitable profile via the Watch app at iPhone with a beta version iOS 11.2.
What's new in tvOS 11.2?
The first beta of tvOS 11.2 (build number 15K5085b) can be downloaded using the Software Update mechanism at Apple TV with a suitable profile.
The new Apple TV 4K with tvOS 11.2 introduces two new options in Settings to automatically adjust the frame rate and dynamic range of video content.
In addition, the startup loading indicator has become thinner.
