Have you iPhone and have noticed that the YouTube app drains your smartphone battery incredibly quickly? You are not alone! However, it is now very easy to fix it: the developers figured out this bug and you only need to update YouTube to the latest version.
In the comments for YouTube version 12.45, the company indicated the only change: “Fixed problem with battery usage”. A YouTube spokesperson noted that the bug was fixed back in version 12.44, but only mentioned this in the new build.
The developer also noted that the bug affected versions 12.42 and 12.43 and manifested itself in the same way on iPhone any modifications and regions. This problem was widely publicized after the release iPhone X on November 3: many users noticed that the smartphone is very quickly discharged from normal video viewing. In particular, we are talking about 20% of the charge, which went away for 10-15 minutes of viewing. At the same time, the smartphone overheated significantly.
After the update, users of both iPhone X and older models note that the situation is indeed better.
