With iPhone and iPad you can uninstall default applications, and it is very important to know how to reinstall them. You can do this with any standard application, including Calendar, Calculator, Compass, Contacts, Facetime , Files, Mail, Maps, Music, Notes, Weather, and more.
Recovering standard applications is as easy as any other. You just need to download them from App Store.
If you want to try it yourself, you can remove any standard application from your iPhone or iPad, and then follow the instructions below.
How to restore the default application iOS
- Open App Store.
- Go to the Search tab and enter the name of the application you want.
- Find the default application in the list of results and download it.
- Repeat the same for all the standard applications you want to restore.
All installed applications will appear on the home screen as usual. In our example, this was the Calculator application.
You can delete standard applications in the same way as usual, but the function has appeared relatively recently.
Make sure that you are downloading the standard application, because now it places ads at the top of the list of results App Store. In addition, the results may include third-party applications with similar icons and names. The default application developer will be Apple.

It is up to you to decide if you need standard applications. For example, you can uninstall the Music application in order to get rid of autoplaying songs in the car or to install an alternative like Spotify.
There are several applications that cannot be restored, but they cannot be deleted either. These include Settings, App Store and Safari.
