Note that from the moment when Microsoft recognized “death” Windows Mobile, the company decided to focus on distributing and improving its software on Android and iOS. The Edge release for iOS was part of this new course.

Edge offers everything a user can demand from a modern mobile browser. It supports private mode, voice search and QR code scanning. All of this wrapped up in a pretty attractive and thoughtful interface familiar to Edge users for Windows 10.

The main advantage from Edge for iOS will be received by users of the desktop version of the browser. They will be able to easily sync bookmarks, passwords and reading lists between mobile and PC versions, authorized through the same account Microsoft.

Note that Edge still has a lot to work on. Now, at least, there is not enough support for tablets (yes, with iPad you won't be able to use the browser). Also Edge is not optimized for the Super Retina HD screen of the new iPhone X. It makes sense for everyone else to try out Microsoft Edge now if you are tired of Safari or Chrome.
