Dark mode concept on iPhone X

Apple has been following the light theme iOS for years, which was logical as long as the company was using LCD – displays, not OLED – panels.

OLED – displays are more suitable for dark themes and applications, since no energy is wasted on dark areas of the screen. Previously Apple completely ignored OLED – panels, so there was no need for dark mode. But judging by Apple Watch with OLED – display, the company doesn't mind using dark themes when they make sense.

Now the company has released and iPhone X with OLED – display. Perhaps in the future Apple will slightly change iOS and introduce dark mode into the interface and standard applications. Thanks to Maximos Angelakis we can see the concept of dark mode on iPhone X. And it's not just a few applications, it's the entire system along with standard applications.

The creator of the concept says that he took as a basis a dark interface Apple Watch with OLED – a display. We can now see what the dark mode action center would look like, along with Control Center, Settings, and the app switcher.
