Apple released iOS 11 beta 5 for developers

Apple continues to test system iOS 11 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch prior to traditional fall releases. Today, tech giant Cupertino released beta 5 of an upcoming update to registered developers and beta program members from Apple.

A public beta is expected within the next 24 hours.

If you are a developer and your device already has a previous beta version iOS 11, you can upgrade to iOS 11 beta 5 (build name 15A5341f) using the software update mechanism in Settings. The device must have a configuration profile installed, which can be downloaded here.

Preview iOS 11 was first released exclusively to developers at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. The update contains a surprisingly large number of new features, improvements, enhancements, and user interface changes.

These include customizable Control Center, new design App Store, multitasking on iPad with interactive dock and drag and drop functionality, Files app, AirPlay 2 with multi-room audio support , new features Siri, etc.

The final version iOS 11 will be released to the public this fall and will be available on supported devices.
