The first customers have already received their iPhone X, and today in App Store there is a new section 'Great on iPhone X' (suitable for iPhone X ) with a list of applications to which support for the new model has been added.
Over the past few days, many popular applications have been updated. Updates are always in trend when Apple new devices or new software versions are released.
In some applications, they simply adjusted the interface to the size and notch of the screen iPhone X, while in others they added new functions.
For example, the popular photo editors Darkroom and Halide now support HEIFF, the new economical image format from Apple.
Another application Afterlight also began to support HEIF, as well as recognize the depth of the image. With ProCam 5 , you can now take portrait shots with the front camera.
Plex has added support for HEVC (H.265) videos, and 1Password, Dashlane , and Day One have added support for Face ID authentication.
It makes no sense to list all the updated applications, but here are the most popular ones:
- Halide
- Alto's Adventure
- Canary Smart Security
- Darkroom
- Deliveries
- Shazam
- Tweetbot 4
- Enlight
- Fantastical 2
- Just Press Record
- ProCam 5
- 1Password 7
- Super mario run
- Plex
- Afterlight 2
- Dashlane
- Day one journal
- Medium
- Nike + Run Club
- Carrot Weather
It's great that so many developers have already tweaked their applications for iPhone X. This time they reacted very quickly.
It took some developers years to adapt their apps to the screens of new devices. And some applications are still not optimized for Plus model sizes.
