The final version iOS 12 will be released today. The twelfth version of the system iOS is not a very significant update. Apple decided this time to pay attention to fixing bugs and major system problems. In theory, iOS 12 must be installed at least for the sake of new functions. However, there is another side to the problem.

Why install iOS 12
1. Older models will become faster
One of the main benefits of iOS 12 is performance improvement. iOS 12 is supported by all models starting from iPhone 5s which is 5 years old. Tests have shown that updating iOS 12 will make older models significantly faster.
Apple sped up the process of opening the camera, keyboard and applications. iOS 12 will breathe life into your old iPhone. If you have iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s, you should be able to use them for at least another year without any problems.
2. Improved notification system
Updated notification system and improved Do Not Disturb mode – good reasons to upgrade to iOS 12. In the new version, notifications are grouped into groups by context and application. In addition, you can now turn off notifications from a specific application directly from the lock screen. Do not disturb mode is now much more advanced.
3. New features
At first glance, the minor update iOS 12 still contains some interesting new features.
- iOS 12 introduces a new Memoji feature that lets you create your own Animoji characters.
- Later this year, FaceTime video conferencing will be introduced, in which up to 32 users can participate simultaneously.
- Screen Time helps you keep track of how and how much you use your device.
- Application limits and the 'At ease' feature will allow you to reduce the time you spend on social networks and your device in general.
4. Function Siri Shortcuts
If you are an advanced user, you will love the new Siri Shortcuts feature. Apple bought the Workflow app, changed its name, and integrated it with a personal assistant Siri.
You can use the Shortcuts app to create chains of actions and activate them with voice commands Siri. Moreover, the function is also available on Apple Watch. Now you can raise your hand with Apple Watch, say the 'magic phrase', and the system will perform a set of actions.
5. New gestures for iPad
iOS 12 contains a new set of gestures for iPad, as in iPhone X. To open Control Center, swipe down from the top right of the screen. To return to the home screen, just swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
The new gestures will take some getting used to, but after that they will be very convenient for you. When new ones iPad with Face ID come out, such gestures will make more sense. So get used to the new gestures beforehand.
One of the best gestures is to horizontally swipe across the bottom of the screen to switch between recently used apps.
Why not install iOS 12
1. Initial bugs
There is always a risk that the update will contain new bugs. Previous updates iOS contained a lot of bugs, so we do not recommend installing iOS 12 immediately after release. Wait at least a week to be sure of the reliability of the new version of the system.
2. No jailbreak
There is currently no jailbreak for iOS 12. If you currently have iPhone with a jailbreak, do not install iOS 12 to avoid losing it. Perhaps, after a while, a jailbreak will appear for iOS 12, but so far there is no information about it.
