iPhone X is the smartphone of the future, available today. iPhone 8 – a smartphone of the past with updated hardware. Perhaps you want to buy a new one iPhone but are not sure which one to choose. This time you have to choose not only between screen sizes. You have to choose from three models and six price options, as well as decide which smartphone you want – from the future or the present?
And, of course, everyone will have their own ideal option. Your choice depends on your needs, your business and your budget. Let's find out how all three models differ, and which one should you choose.
What do iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X have in common
First, let's talk about the similarities between the new models. The first similarity is great work.
All models are powered by the A11 Bionic processor, which is the best mobile processor. It is a six-core system, two of which are at full capacity and four are energy efficient. Full power cores are 25% faster than the A10 Fusion processor and up to 70% more energy efficient. In addition, Apple has developed its own GPU with three cores for the first time, and it is 30% faster than the previous chip.
Apple calls the A11 Bionic processor their most advanced processor, and you can't argue with that. Most surprisingly, all six cores can work simultaneously. The processor was designed for augmented reality applications and machine learning. Whichever model you buy, it will work just fine.
In addition, all three iPhone will run the latest version iOS 11, they will have stereo speakers, glass body, support for Qi wireless charging, and dust and water resistance.
iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have a familiar design
Apart from the glass body, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus look the same as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They have changed so little that the covers iPhone 7 will fit iPhone 8. The display iPhone 8 is still 4.7 “and the 8 Plus is 5.5”.
The design of the phones has not changed. The same large bezels, Home button with Touch ID and Retina HD display.
On iPhone 8, the camera was improved, but the changes affected the system. It still has one main 12MP camera. The telephoto lens iPhone 8 Plus still lacks OIS (there is iPhone X on both cameras). But iPhone 8 Plus supports the new portrait light mode.
If you already own a iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, you will not see any improvements in camera or phone performance.
If you have iPhone 6 or 6s, and you can spend no more than $ 700, then buying iPhone 8 is worth it. You will get a phone with great performance, wireless charging, a new glass body and a quality camera.

iPhone X is the smartphone of the future
iPhone X is somewhat similar to the very first iPhone. Innovative, experimental and not for everyone.
iPhone X does not have what we are used to over the past 10 years. If you love consistency and are not a fan of big change, you shouldn't buy iPhone X.
iPhone X has a completely new design, almost the entire front is occupied by the screen. And what a screen! 5.8-inch OLED – 2436 × 1125 display with 458 ppi. The edges of the screen are smoothly framed. There are no huge frames at the top and bottom, but a notch has appeared. Design is an absolutely subjective characteristic. Either you hate the notch design, or you find it beautiful. It is possible that over time, the notch will cease to be so conspicuous.
The new model does not have Touch ID, but the new Face ID technology has appeared. It works on the basis of a TrueDepth camera, stream porthole, infrared camera and spotlight. The spotlight projects 30,000 invisible dots onto your face, then the system creates a mathematical model of your face and checks if it matches the model saved in the Secure Enclave coprocessor. All this happens quickly and unnoticed.
The new one iPhone does not have a Home button either. Instead, swipe up to unlock. To return to the home screen, you need to use the same gesture.
iPhone X has the best main and front camera. There are two cameras on the back, and both support optical image stabilization. It will make portraits in low light look better. And the front camera now also supports portrait mode along with portrait light mode. If you want a smartphone with a better camera, iPhone X is the perfect choice.
The front TrueDepth camera also supports the new Animoji feature. With it, you can create animated emoji with your own facial expression and voice and send them in Messages. Additionally, iPhone X battery lasts two hours longer than iPhone 7.
If you want to buy the best iPhone and don't mind changes, then feel free to choose iPhone X.

'Ingenious' Pricing Strategy Apple
Below are the prices for the new models.
- iPhone 8 (64GB): $ 699
- iPhone 8 (256GB): $ 849
- iPhone 8 Plus (64GB): $ 799
- iPhone 8 Plus (256GB): $ 949
- iPhone X (64GB): $ 999
- iPhone X (256GB): $ 1,149
This time, you can choose from options with enough or too much memory. And now the difference between the options is $ 150. iPhone 8 costs $ 50 more than iPhone 7 cost last year.
The new prices make the choice even more difficult. Obviously Apple wants you to buy iPhone X. Because iPhone X with 64GB of memory is 'only' $ 50 more than iPhone 8 Plus with 256GB storage. And the buyer begins to think that for almost the same price he can get much more.
If you don't like storing too much data on your smartphone and use the cloud, then 64GB should be enough for you.
It will be much easier to buy iPhone 8 with 64GB, especially if you had iPhone 6 / 6s before and you don't want to spend a lot of money.
Choosing between iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X is more difficult. On iPhone X, the larger screen was placed in a case of size iPhone 8.
Let's be honest, compared to the LG V30 and Samsung S8 iPhone 8 Plus looks unwieldy. It's too big and too heavy for a 5.5-inch smartphone. Spend $ 200 more to get a better screen and better cameras.
But iPhone X will only go on sale in two months (November 3rd) and rumor has it that the number of phones will be limited, so it won't be easy to buy.
If you can't spend more than $ 800, or just aren't ready for big changes, then buy the iPhone 8 Plus. Otherwise, wait for the release iPhone X. You can save up money in two months.
