We are still waiting for Apple to release the updated ones AirPods, but it looks like it won't be too long to wait.
Recently, information appeared on the network that certification Bluetooth SIG will appear on two new models AirPods. Model numbers are A2031 and A2032. Looks like these are the numbers of two separate earbuds of the same model. The certification says little, but it is possible that the new headphones will support the recognition of the voice command 'Hello Siri'.
Apple did not miss the opportunity to mark this function at the presentation iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR, however new AirPods with the function were not presented .
The new certification AirPods will improve other features as well. Perhaps Apple is planning to add some variation of health functions to the new headphones.
We know for a fact that Apple is working on a wireless charging case for AirPods that would be a great companion for the AirPower stand. It's unclear if Bluetooth SIG certification is needed to wirelessly charge the case. Apple itself has not yet officially announced anything either at the September or October presentation. However, that doesn't mean the headphones won't be out until the end of this year.
