Today Apple released its second beta iOS 12.1 and watchOS 5.1 to developers and public beta testers. These will be minor updates for both platforms aimed at fixing bugs and improving system performance.

It's worth noting, however, that iOS 12.1 does contain a few new features. The main one is support for FaceTime conferences, in which up to 32 users can participate simultaneously. The first beta of the update also added sync iCloud for Memoji. In addition, support for Face ID in horizontal mode was found in the update code, which means the function will be available for future models iPad Pro. In iOS 12.1, support for eSIM technology will also be activated, but the operators themselves will have to activate it.

Registered developers and participants of the public beta testing program can download the second beta version iOS 12.1 in Settings via the Software Update mechanism. In addition, the new version can be downloaded from the developer site Apple.

To install the new watchOS 5.1 beta, Apple Watch you need to charge at least 50% and connect to a power source, and also place them next to iPhone. The new beta tvOS 12.1 should download and install automatically in the background.
