This year's iPhone design is expected to be little different from iPhone X – in particular, all three models will have a notch in the display. However, if you skip the 2018 generation and wait, you might be able to buy an iPhone with a less noticeable notch in 2019.
All three new iPhones this year will be reasonably similar in design. At the same time, two of them will have OLED – displays, and the third, more budgetary – LCD. The new models will also support Face ID, which means the notch will house the TrueDepth camera and sensors.
How will Apple reduce this notch in 2019? No, the company will not refuse TrueDepth, but, according to analysts' reports, all sensors and a front camera will be combined in one module. It is not yet clear how the engineers will be able to solve this problem and whether there will be any more noticeable changes in the design of iPhone 2019.
