How to fix the top 3 flaws iPhone X

iPhone X is the most advanced and beautiful iPhone, but that doesn't make it perfect. Most users have no complaints about iPhone X itself, but the model has some disadvantages that can be annoying.

Some of the main drawbacks are: random set of emergency services, random screenshots of the lock screen, and accidental activation Apple Pay. Oddly enough, all these functions are associated with the power button of the smartphone and its pressing.

Fortunately, all these shortcomings can be corrected, and below we will explain how this is done.

1: Random emergency calls

Some users accidentally initiate an emergency call even while their iPhone X is in their pocket. In this case, you can simply turn off the Auto Call to Emergency Call – SOS:

  1. Open Settings and go to Emergency Call – SOS
  2. Click the switch next to Auto Call to make it gray.

Now the call will not start automatically, but you will need to swipe to do this on the screen.

2: Accidental activation Apple Pay

The power button on iPhone X has many purposes, one of which is activation Apple Pay. If you are constantly activating Apple Pay while trying to lock or unlock the device, activate Siri, reboot the device or anything else, the best solution would be to disable activation Apple Pay by double pressing the button inclusions:

  1. Open Settings and go to Wallet and Apple Pay.
  2. Locate Double-click the side button and click the toggle next to it to make it gray.

If you use Apple Pay regularly, then this option is not for you, because you will have to open the Wallet app manually each time.

3: Random screenshots

Apple changed the way of taking screenshots to iPhone X, so users often make them by accident when holding a smartphone in their hand, taking it out of a bag or just during use.

This problem is not easy to solve. You can try to hold the smartphone in your hand in a different way, or regularly delete screenshots that you accidentally took.

  1. Open the Photos app and go to the Albums tab.
  2. Select the Screenshots album, then click Select in the upper right corner of the screen and mark all random screenshots.
  3. Click on the trash can icon and then confirm the deletion.

Unfortunately, the process will have to be repeated regularly, and nothing can be done about it. It's worth noting that there will be a small change in iOS 12 that will help deal with the problem of random screenshots, at least of the lock screen.

These were the three main drawbacks of iPhone X, and they are fairly easy to fix. However, there are other features that users constantly complain about, and we'll talk about them too.

4: Lack of Touch ID and Home button

Some owners of iPhone X don't like the lack of a Home button. This could be due to the pleasant tactile sensation of pressing a button or the Touch ID technology. Some people still like Touch ID more than Face ID.

You can use Assistive Touch to create a virtual home button, but this is not a solution. It's time to get used to the gesture controls and the Home indicator.

If you just don't like Face ID, you can turn off the feature and use a passcode to unlock your smartphone and other tasks.

5: Screen notch

The notch is the dark area at the top of the screen iPhone X that houses the earpiece, front camera, and Face ID sensors. Most owners of iPhone X are already used to the notch, but some will never accept it.

If you are annoyed by the notch on the screen, then among your options is either just accept it, or use a wallpaper that hides the notch on the screen. Any wallpaper with a black top will do.

Now the notch is not only on the screen iPhone X, but also on almost all flagships Android, including Motorola P30 and Xiaomi Mi 8. You will have to get used to the notch as it will remain on all models in the iPhone 2018 line.

6: No headphone jack

Apple first got rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack back in iPhone 7, but iPhone X users still can't come to terms with the loss. Apple is unlikely to bring the connector back into any future smartphones.

If you're worried about the lack of a 3.5mm jack, you can either use an adapter or buy wireless headphones.

Most likely, all of the above shortcomings will remain in future models iPhone, because they will all be different variations of the current iPhone X. However, these are only rumors, and much can still change.
