Apple Pay Cash did not launch with the release of iOS 11, but the feature continues to be tested and prepared for release.
Today it was reported that Apple has expanded the testing of the function to employees of its stores. They were asked to install the beta version iOS 11.1 on their devices, and today they could use Apple Pay Cash. To unlock this feature, you need an internal beta profile.
To take part in the testing, you must provide your account iCloud.
The images below show the process of setting up the function. Apple Pay Cash requires a name, address, and even insurance number.
Apple Pay Cash works in collaboration with Green Dot. The feature will allow users to quickly send money through Messages to their friends and family. The money will be debited from the connected credit or debit card. The received money will be stored on the Apple Pay Cash card in the Wallet application. From there they can be withdrawn to your account with a commission of 3%. Other methods do not charge the commission.
It is not yet known when Apple Pay Cash will go public, but it will be with iOS 11.1 in the near future. Now iOS 11.1 is in beta testing.
