As expected, today Apple officially released iOS 12 beta 2 to developers. The update is released 15 days after the first beta was released at the 2018 Worldwide Developers Conference. Registered developers can install the update over the air using the Software Update mechanism.
iOS 12 beta 2
The new beta iOS 12 contains several new features and changes:
- New screen with information about the updated Dictaphone application.
- New screen dedicated to Screen Time.
- Displaying podcast chapters in iOS 12; the function is now active.
- Larger font in the Photos application.
- Group FaceTime calls cannot be made between users with iOS 12 beta 2 and beta 1. All participants in the group call must update to beta 2.
- The location icon in the status bar has become smaller and more beautiful.
- When purchasing content, the message is displayed: 'Face ID scan'.
- The interface for password autocomplete iCloud Keychain has been changed.
- The interface has changed when adding limits for applications.
- New Screen Time options to view activity on one or all devices.
- Now Auto-update will download new versions at night.
- A new item in Settings → Notifications to disable recommendations Siri for specific applications. With it, you will not receive notifications from rarely used applications.
- Charts with data in the Settings → Battery section have become more beautiful.
New in iOS 12
The first beta iOS 12 was released on June 4th and contained many new features, including stability and system performance improvements that will make devices run faster.
